WXC: Night of Champions XI MMA Action

MMA Octagon Cage

Last night, the Fat Guys on a Little Podcast took an adventure to Southgate to see Night of Champions. WXC: 75 is a local MMA event that is sponsored by UFC Fight Pass.  Charles, as you may or may not know, is an MMA addict. So when the chance came up to see a local event he was all over it. Overall I was quite surprised by the presentation. The event was hosted at Crystal Gardens in Southgate. The same place Charles and Heather were married all those years ago.

WXC MMA Event

My initial impressions were quite good for this event. Also, in attendance was none other than Tommy “The Hitman” Herns. The cage and ramp were the fighters enter were all set up nice and looked good. What I mean by this is I have been to local wrestling events and some of the rings look a little torn up. Where at this event the ring and lighting all looked solid and professional.

In addition to the look, they had ring girls, a funny ring announcer, and quality sound for music and the mic. If I had to guess there were about 500 people there and it looked to be sold out. Our seats were front row and could not get much better than that. The only downsides, the event ran a little long almost four and a half hours. Also, the seats after a couple of hours were not the most comfortable. In addition, this is not the fault of the event, but there were some really drunk douche bags in the crowd.

To rate the overall experience I would say it was rather fun and would do it again. So if you get a chance check out the next WXC event.
